1973-1999 production.
Part of the permanent collection at MoMA in New York, the "Maralunga" collection represents the pinnacle of Italian design—where innovation meets exceptional comfort. The "Maralunga" collection was designed in 1973 by Vico Magistretti for Cassina in Milan, Italy to create a "warm, relaxing, cozy place, where you feel at ease and rediscover the satisfying, protective embrace of old-fashioned reading chairs placed near a fireplace or a window.”
Upholstered in rich, warm Peanut Corduroy from Charlotte Fabrics (D3884), both of our two examples were fitted with new foam and batting, and refreshed backrest mechanics. All upholstery work was completed by Atelier 94B of Montreal. Please see Condition Tab for full Fabric Information.
These fully updated love seats feature a comfortable, padded style with enveloping contours that enhance their comfort and visual appeal. The adjustable headrests, made possible by a patented chain mechanism, can shift seamlessly from a low to a high position, allowing for a tailored lounging experience.
